January 6: Feast of the Epiphany

three kings figurines

Today is Feast of the Epiphany, or Three Kings Day. Not being religious, and having grown up Southern Baptist, I had no idea what any of these words meant when put together.

Apparently, the “three kings” are what are also known as the three magi or the three wise men. The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates these three guys visiting baby Jesus in the Bible story.

Why any of this matters, I really don’t know. However, any day is a good day to have a feast, so go enjoy some three kings cake, and let me know what it tastes like.
